Meet the first woman to referee in a major European League

Bibiana Steinhaus on Sunday, September 10, 2017 registered her name in the football history books by becoming the first woman to referee in European League.
The 38-year-old police officer achieved this success in the German Bundesliga encounter between Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen in which she was superb. Steinhaus’ performance however got the stamp of approval from Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery after the match at Olympiastadion.
“Congratulations on the first game in the Bundesliga, #Good_job,” the French professional footballer said.
