NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has denied claims that he has resigned from the opposition coalition.
Mudavadi on Wednesday said he is firmly in NASA and has never thought of quitting because the coalition represents change he is pushing for.
He made the remarks after a letter made rounds on social media indicating that the former Vice President and ANC leader had resigned from NASA an opposition outfit led by Raila Odinga.
He said the letter was fake and showed “signs of a desperate party”.
“Treat this with the contempt it deserves,” he said in a Twitter post.
According to the letter, Mudavadi resigned from NASA following an all night long meeting he held with Raila, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.
“Due to unavoidable circumstances and following our night meeting that ran through this morning without reaching a consensus, I hereby tender my resignation as NASA principal and supporter of the change coalition,” the letter reads in part.
The letter is dated October 13 and is copied to Raila, the Registrar of Political Parties and the IEBC.
