NASA leader Raila Odinga has revealed that former Meru Governor Peter Munya left the opposition coalition because ‘he was under a lot of pressure.’
Former Meru Governor, Peter Munya ditched NASA Party barely a week after dumping the Jubilee Party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Raila, however, did not explain in detail who was behind Munya’s depature.
The former Prime Minister noted that Munya’s move will not affect the coalition votes from the Meru region, indicating that he (Raila) got many votes on August 8 without Munya in the NASA brigade.
Raila also maintained that NASA will not go the repeat presidential election with a faulty Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
“Issues that were raised at the Supreme Court have not been addressed by IEBC. The commission does not appreciate the magnitude of the problem that we have,” stressed Raila.
