Kisumu Magistrate Court has lifted arrest warrants issued against Former Kisumu Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga and Senator Fred Outa.
The warrants were lifted after the duo appeared before the court for a mention of a case in which they face charges of disrupting an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission training session and causing damage to property.
Ms Odinga told the court that she had been unable to attend court session because she had been hospitalised and presented a medical card as proof.
On his side, Senator Outa said he had missed his flight on Monday while travelling to Kisumu.
Suspending the warrants, Chief Magistrate Kipkorir Ng’arng’ar directed the politicians to take the case seriously and to always be present before the court whenever the matter is being heard.
The duo had appeared before the court on October 23 and had been released on a bond of Sh.500,000 each without surety.
